Salamanca - view from our table in the plaza mayor

This square in the middle of salamanca was the best
place for people watching we´ve ever seen.
This was the view from our table in one of
the many cafes surrounding the entire square.
We got free drinks with very expensive chips or
was that the other way around?

Tupperware comes to the rescue on day 4

So glad we had the tupperware party....

We were trapped by a mad spanish woman 5 minutes after this photo was taken.
She spoke non stop for half an hour and we had no idea what she said.
non comprende didn´t seem to work.
Day 2 of Walk...

internetting in spain is not that easy so you only get one photo after an hour of trying!

We are in Madrid. The walk was great. We have driven around the north and west and centre of spain to Leon, Lugo, Santiago, Pontevedra, Salamanca, Toledo and Avila.

and survived driving on the right and down streets so narrow we had to breathe in.

Day 1 of the walking tour

We climbed to a cross on top of this hill for
our first days walk. Pretty soon we realised we were
in the middle of a freak heat wave in the north of Spain.
37 degrees and about 90% humidity!!

View from the top.

Yes we were practically on our knees at this point.

Fes - the old medina
Here we are in Fes our last stop in Morocco.

These 9th century vats are still used to tan and dye
leather. Thankfully we had sprigs of mint to
overpower the smell.

Got sucked into buying leather goods at
the coop near here.

Below is a shot of an old students quarters
at the oldest university in Morocco.

After here we did a two day marathon journey
to the north of Spain to start our walk along the
Comino, Compostella de Santiago...

Essouria the Gold Coast of Morocco

We have just spent 3 days here relaxing, eating etc.

Saw lots of interesting goings on at the port where the fishermen bring their catches in, got cornered by a local guide who walked us around the port for a small price

First Week in Morocco

It's day seven of the jugs rugs and tapas tour and we are in Essouria, a beach town on the Atlantic in Morocco. We have had a whirlwind first week here, arriving in Cassablanca, then on to Marrakech, 3 days on desert safari, back to Marrakech, and now in Essouiria.

Photo of our camel Trek.

Hi everyone

here we are in Casablanca. We have seen the 3rd biggest mosque in the world, we have eaten tangine and we have walked the tourist boulevard along the waters edge of the Atlantic. Everyone should see Dubai airport in their lifetime, keep an eye out for the coming photos. Off on the Marrakech express in a couple of hours. We have had our first market experience and didnt spend a cent. This wont last.
